Dr. Bharadia specialises in the neuropsychological assessment and treatment of brain injury, dementia, and other Neurological disorders. He is a “Scientist-Practitioner”, meaning that the latest peer-reviewed science is used as a base for assessment, diagnoses, and treatment of your needs. When working with you, Dr. Bharadia views your situation through a “Biopsychosocial” model. Moving past the Medical-model, your particular combination of Neurological, Psychological and everyday life/societal factors are taken into account and combined to create a “case conceptualisation” that is tailored to fit your unique situation. Your treatment recommendations will also take all of these important areas into account when helping you towards your healthcare goals.

As an individual and couple’s therapist, Dr. Bharadia takes a client centred approach, which helps each unique client, or couple find their own path when working on their psychological or life challenges.  He believes that real change comes from a person’s mastery of new psychological skills and through insights that they come to at their own pace and through their own personal lens. To facilitate this process, Dr. Bharadia applies mindfulness-based approaches, such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Emotion Focused and Psychodynamic/depth approaches.  These techniques are also combined with a Neuropsychological approach to appreciate cognitive and biological factors at play on the road to psychological change.
